cliff farm2-300compThis is an ex Caravan Club Certificated Location, and as such the owners have put a lot of effort into making sure this private site has very high standards and plenty of facilities to suit discerning visitors.

Situated a couple of miles outside of the popular town of Pickering, access is via a farm road about half a mile off the A170 Kirbymoorside and Pickering. A firm road, with passing places lead directly up to the farm house and pitching area.

Call at farm on arrival, or pitch up if no answer and booked in!

Pitches are level hardstanding, slightly terraced and offset to maximise views and give some privacy. Plenty of space for outfit and awning. Hook ups are close by, and there are plenty of water points. Waste water and elsan disposal are situated up by main toilet/shower block, and a Motorhome water disposal point has been provided.

The newly built toilet block is absolutely spotless, well lit and joy of joys, well heated, a real plus in Winter, as this is a 12 month site!

There is also a wet room with plenty of aids for those less mobile, again spotlessly clean! A little laundry room is alongside, and here you will also find a huge freezer stocked with meats, bread and yummy local ice cream, all paid via an honesty box!

A cabin houses an information centre well stocked with local guides and essential information. Free WiFi is also included in the pitch price!

For dog walkers, just check with the owners regarding which fields may have stock grazing, but we had no problems just walking along the farm road, which is quiet and safe.

There is just so much to do and see in this area, from NYM Railway, Castles and Abbeys, picture book moorland villages, Whitby, Scarborough and Helmsley all close by, and some great pubs and restuarants. We highly recommend Eastgate Fisheries for fish and chips, and delicious Indian food at Spice4U, both in Pickering.

Nearest petrol is on way into Pickering, and town has both a Coop and Lidl supermarket, along with lots of independent shops. Buses pass end of lane regularly, and it is about two miles into Pickering on footpaths.

All in all, a lovely small, 30 pitch private site, with friendly welcoming owners. One of our favourites.
