Good result for the blue half of Manchester today. If only we had Kompany fit all season!!!

Now that's a way to finish the season, Bug. Bet you were surprised the end up Champions. Well done Newcastle Clap .....now for the Premiership next season!

Unfortunately Blackburn are going down. Although they won today, so did Forest & Birmingham. Sad

Well done Newcastle. Norwich had a good performance in their up and down season. John Ruddys last game for Norwich

Sorry about Rovers, Nellie - we did our best giving them six points this season as they beat us home and away. Must be devastating to go down for such a fine margin after 46 games of effort.

OP - I think Norwich are one of the teams for the top six next season if they can sort their defence out.

Wild day for us. With 3 games left to go we were seven points behind Brighton and everyone seemed to be accepting that they would win the title. Then we won two of the games whilst Brighton lost both of theirs. So down to one point going into the final games.

We duly beat Barnsley 3-0 and as Brighton were winning 0-1 at Villa the title seemed over.

Then news came through that Villa had equalised in the 89th minute.

You can imagine the reaction on Tyneside!!

Have you seen the statement on the BBC Sports News about your club, Bugs? :-

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez can expect up to £100m to spend on new players following "positive" discussions with owner Mike Ashley.
In a club statement, Ashley said Benitez and managing director Lee Charnley can have "every last penny the club generates" to build for next term.

I wonder just what MA means by that?

It's clearer if you read the full statement from the Club:

From the Newcastle United Official Website:

Newcastle United can confirm that a meeting has taken place between the club’s owner, Mike Ashley, managing director, Lee Charnley, and manager, Rafa Benítez.

It was agreed by all parties that the meeting was very positive and constructive.

Mike again congratulated Rafa and his team on gaining promotion to the Premier League as champions.

Plans for next season were discussed, including the purchase and loan of players to add to the squad in readiness for the Premier League season.

Speaking after the meeting, Mike Ashley said: “I’ve confirmed to Rafa and Lee that they can have every last penny that the club generates through promotion, player sales and other means in order to build for next season.”

Manager Rafa Benítez added: “I’m pleased with how the meeting went and the positive approach we are all taking together to build on what we have started this season.

“There will be challenges ahead of course, the summer will not be easy, but the hard work has been going on for some time and we can now continue positively with the development of the squad ahead of the start of the new season.

"I wish fans an enjoyable summer!”

Bonus? No mention of Carr!!

Is that because they've got rid of him? Is it now Rafa that's going to do all the buying of new players and selling off those that he doesn't want?
