It's the second world cup won by English youth sides, the 17's age group this weekend and 20's age group a while back. Just a pity that most of these young footballers don't get the chances they deserve in top class teams.

Apparently, the BBC in it's infinite wisdom, chose to air Gardeners World instead of the final half hour or so. Can't verify that, was told by third party.

It was certainly on BBC2 for a while and then one could watch it on the Red Button. They were continually plugging it on Final Score, which I was watching.

Yet everytime there’s a seniors World Cup game they trot out the 50+yrs ago win
it’s crazy. I think that’s part of why I don’t rate football

Sums it up in a nutshell Hapz, living on past glories.
Too much money, too many cheats and too many foreigners (players and managers)in the top flight of football in my opinion.
It's a rat race for managers, win or get sacked, instant success is required, what chance do youngsters have in that environment?

Didn't watch it Nellie, as I was at a double 70th birthday party all afternoon and evening.
