RE: Footy Chat - Admiral - 09-11-2017

I have supported West Bromwich Albion all my life as my Dad was born and brought up there, I don't know why but I have a soft spot for Sheffield United, as a kid my father had a season ticket at Swansea Town when they were in the old First Division and when the Allchurch Brothers, Mel Charles (big John's brother and they had an Irish winger named O'Driscoll, very quick with brilliant ball skills, when we lived in Surrey I had a season ticket for twenty years for Woking in the Conference, great days, Woking even beat WBA in the FA Cup, mixed feelings

OMGoodness! Italy have failed to qualify for next year's World Cup. Usually my default choice. Not good, the expected standard of kit has just plummeted! Huh

Fingers crossed, tonight's game versus Panama it will be Coleman's last game in charge of Wales, and he will be up the Panama Canal without a paddle

So near a win, but conceded a very late goal. Will he stay?

RE: Footy Chat - Admiral - 18-11-2017

Glad he's gone Nellie, he will not last until Christmas 2018, he took over from Cary Speed, he tried to alter the way Wales played and lost several games on the trot, the senior players told him how they wanted to play and they started winning. Everywhere Coleman has been as a manager he has been sacked, Fulham, Coventry City, Real Sociadad and some non descript side in the Middle East. Strong rumours that Ryan Giggs may take the job, but Giggsy wants a Club not a National Side. The FAW pay peanuts and that is the reason that Coleman left, lets see what he does at Sunderland, he has taken a mate of his with him from Wales, Kit Symonds, another failure at Fulham !!

RE: Footy Chat - Takethedogalong - 18-11-2017

In truth Admiral, Coleman doesn't seem to have done too bad a job. Wales were ranked nowhere on the global team listings at the time he took over, and ok, maybe he built on a Gary Speed's legacy, but to get as far as they did in last Euros was stunning, far better than England, and Scotland could only dream of a like success. Do you think expectations were too high?

RE: Footy Chat - nelliethehooker - 20-11-2017

Well, Admiral, you've got your wish about Pulis....gone today. Will the WFA consider offering him the post?

They're not desperate are they? Don't think that it would go down very well with the Everton fans.
