Enroute stop at Stratford on Avon
#1
Our chosen route from South Yorkshire to South West region is usually to take M1 to junction 21 at Leicester, then M69, A46 to M5 at Tewkesbury. This is primarily motorway and dual carriageway to get under and around West Mids without using the horrible M42, which we hate. A nice interesting route that gives a break from the boredom and drone of all motorway driving, and provides some good stop points for dog walking, leg stretching and a bite to eat.

If we set off late, good overnight stop with Motorhome can be had at Stratford Leisure Centre Car Park, just off the above route, providing a safe, well lit, organised park up for overnight. Designated bays must be used, they are big and there may be the odd HGV or coach parked up as well. Available 6pm to 8am, for just £2, we found it very quiet, has a good safe adjacent dog walk, and should anyone require them, services in nearby Leisure Centre, during open hours. We were in Motorhome, but equally good for caravan park up (check price). We were up and off for breakfast at nearby Evesham Country Park nice and early and refreshed after a quiet and uninterrupted nights sleep. Around 45 minutes to M5 at Tewkesbury without traffic problems.

In our home, dog fur is a fashion accessory! It's also a condiment....... Yay!  Heart
