A good idea. The pitching of tents at random around Loch Lomond and in the Trossachs National Park in general was all very sensible and self governing. There are still those campers who treat the area with respect but, unfortunately, there is a drug and alcohol culture which is slowly but surely moving in.

The Loch is patrolled by wardens using boats so that they can get to anywhere on the Loch shore. The increase in alcohol, drug and general anti-social behaviour related issues are on the increase. Such a shame.

We noticed a camp of about four tents populated by about ten late teens early twenties men on the shore two years ago when we were based at Luss CCC site. It was about 2pm and they were well oiled then, smoking and generally being loud and obnoxious. I shudder to think what state they were in later in the day. Hopefully, they did not inflict themselves on anybody else. Perhaps they were practicing for a holiday in Magaluf or some other Spanish resort.

Dickers.
