I personally like the blond beers, or a full bodied IPA - nothing mild about that
Oh goodie BB - you might be able to help me here
I used to go to a pub in Cleveleys - it was towards the Anchorsholme end of the tram tracks, on the same side as the prom
Think it was a Green King (?) pub at the time - had a video juke box with lots of tellys around the place and the music turned up loud
This was in the early 80s
Can't remember what the pub was called?
Bugs
EDIT: just checked on Google and it looks like its now called "Lidl"
Yep indeedy - it was the Anchorsholme, then became the New Anchor, then sold to Lidl after many years of being abandoned. I knew it well as it was one of my underage drinking haunts......(the Anchor, not Lidl )

Thanks BB
It had become the "New Anchor" by the time Bugsy got there
Good place right on the doorstep of where we lived - then round to Eduardos little shop on Victoria Road for a takeaway pizza on the way home!

I know that well, as it was I that started the drift this time. Anyway I thought that the discussion on beer was more of interest than the OP!

Is that the new site that Lidl are at present constructing? Drove past it last week, if it was.
No Nellie, ours has been there about 10 years, if not more. I think you're thinking of near Poulton industrial estate on Garstang Rd - we're talking about the one by the tram track in Cleveleys.
