Azur Waldcamping , Auwaldsee, Ingolstadt.

Azur Waldcamping is situated just outside Ingolstadt the home of Audi Motors.  Website http://www.azur-camping.de/de/campingplaetze/ingolstadt we paid €19 with ADAC Camping Card but found out they also took ACSI Card at €19. Electricity was not metered.

We enjoyed our stay of two nights here even though it rained as we approached and did not stop the whole time we were there and it was cold too.

As you approach the Campsite, which is not far from the A9 Autobahn but it is situated in woodland and very quiet situated on the Auwaldsee, there is a very nice Bavarian Restaurant name Auwaldsee.  We ate in the restaurant first night and it was very good the waitress very pleasant who spoke good English.  

The Man and Wife Wardens were very friendly and helpful.  You can order and pay for Bread Rolls the day before for breakfast.  Toilets and showers heated excellent spotlessly clean photo's to follow. It was not far into the city with all the usual big stores on the outskirts and lovely Old Town near the Market Place with underground car parking under the Theatre.

Yes nevers the weather did rather spoil it. The reason to visit Ingolstadt was to visit some friends for supper on the Wednesday evening which was very nice. I would have liked to have seen more of the city though.
