Annual pitches on PAYG?
#1
Interested to see if anyone knows of any sites in the southwest of England that take tourers on an annual basis but charge on a pay as you go basis (pppn etc). Also, out of season storage costs etc. Do these places exist? TIA

Yes they exist, Totogging, but you need to search them out.

We used one for a few years where we paid the going rate for the nights we used the van and a minimal storage fee for the nights it was not in use. Sometimes the van would be left on pitch and sometimes taken to a storage area. The arrangement did not guarantee a pitch at busy times and we would have to book in the usual way. They also did winter storage for a fee and conventional seasonal pitches. Several sites in the area had similar systems. This is the site we used but it was about 12 years ago so I can't speak for current arrangements.

I suggest you pick your area, find the sites you fancy and ring them up.

Try Tower Park, Camping and caravanning St Buryan, Cornwall. But don't tell anyone else, its great as it is, and I don't want it to get too crowded!
