This grand site had 5 large, level, terraced Hardstanding pitches, with EHU, having views to the north, while being sheltered by a couple of small copse of trees to the south and west. There is a large estate adjacent where one can walk ones dog, provide there's no stock in the fields. The site is easily accessed being about 3 mls from the M4, just off the A48. A little care is need when approaching the right-hand turnoff, 3/4 ml from a set of traffic lights, as the road is dual laned so it's imperative to be in the outside lane. Should one overshoot there's a narrow lane on the left which can be taken, drive to the end turn right and that take one back to the A48 and so back to the site's turnoff. On arrival you are left to your own devices and the owner calls in the evening. At the traffic lights, mentioned above, there are a couple of retail parks with shops and food outlets including a Tesco Superstore, an Lidl and a large M&S. There's lots of places of interest within easy driving distance, including Castel Coch Caerphilly Castle and Dyffryn (N/T), and of course Barry Island. For those that want an extra bit or retail therapy there is a MacArthur Glen Shopping Outlet at Bridgend, about 8 mls away. The site has good TV and phone reception and although the site lies close to the busy A48 it is nice and peaceful. We will certainly be returning to this fine CL as there's much more to find to do in the area.
