Just spent two nights at this delightful Adults Only CL.
anonymous pictures website
Met on arrival by the very friendly, helpful and accommodating Steve,(who also likes a bit of banter) who along with his wife, Julie, maintains this little piece of heaven in Worcestershire. The site is set in an old orchard behind the main house, a couple of the apple trees had large clumps of Mistletoe in the branches.
Asked if we could use the hard standings for our stay, he explained that he was letting the grass recover in the winter months, this wasn't a problem for us, we just had to fill up at the main gate, before finding our spot. As it was quite shaded, Steve told us to back up onto the grass in the sun, as that part of the CL had re-inforced ground.
The site is very roomy with seven EHU's and along the back and side fences/hedges the pitches also have a water tap for your convenience. There is a well kept toilet, with a perspex roof, wash basin and soap and towel. The CDP is a manhole lifted by a chain, lightweight and manageable.
Much to Steve's annoyance, although in the CC's site description, the site doesn't have a shower, didn't worry us, as we use our own. But can be a cause for complaint, as Steve says, the site has been here for thirty five years and never had a shower! Get it right CAMC!!!
Dotted around the edge of the site are various pieces of old farm machinery that Steve has positioned, to break the monotony.
The site is secure and you have your own key for the padlock that secures the gate
There is a good pub about 3/4 mile walk up the lane from the Cl, serving good food and beers, it does get very busy. If you turn left out of the site then approx 75yds on the right is a public footpath, where your four legged friend can explore, off lead. Warning, Wellies needed!!
Apart from the dog walk, the whole area is easily negotiated using a mobility scooter. This is an excellent CL and one we will readily use again, priced at £11 per night, It's hard to beat. The last words Steve said to us as we left were "don't forget to come and see us again soon"............We will.
