I need to replace seal around my Remis rooflight, (bailey senator 5). Should it be fitted around all 4 sides as it's not at the moment but can't tell if it's been removed by previous owner? It's so perished it's gone rock hard.
Why not search out a seal and see how many sides it has.
Alternatively, look for a YouTube video showing how to change a Heki seal.

I am pretty sure that Bailey have a customer care dept now opened at their base in Bristol. Try their web site and contact them direct!

Ok yes will do, tbe fitting channel is all the way round and I can't see why it wouldn't be. The seal is supplied by the metre.

I have replaced two of our original rooflight with mini Heki's and used the sealing mastic which comes in a roll. I was given this advice on how to do it by our caravan dealership workshop - which I pass on having do it this way with no problems at all. You need to make sure that all the old sealant is removed - with a combination of a sharpened-edge wooden spatula (nothing metal as it may damage the paint finish), and white spirit, then a wash with a clean damp cloth and a wipe with a dry one.
The original one I put in has been in place now for ten years, with no damp ingress and no problems. The second has been done for three or so years, and my OH did the third last year (2017). (This is between two different caravans - not one caravan with three mini-hekis!).

Actually found it on bailey site and due to ridiculous postage charges from Seals+Direct it's actually cheaper at Bailey.

Ours came from our dealer and cost about £10 for the roll we used last year. We've more than enough left to do at least another full-size Heki.

That's exactly what we used, Tinny. I meant to post a link to it, but took a phone call and forgot to come back and do it!
