I've just discovered that we've lost the dome from the top of out roof light in our shower compartment. I've no idea when it's come off but of course any rain will get into the shower. I've covered the assembly with plastic taped down with Duck Tape, but do need to get a replacement. There's no indication in the handbook of the type or actual size so if anyone knows where I can find out that information I could then see about ordering a replacement. Any idea of where's the best place to get a new unit from would also be appreciated.

Are you away NTH? What make and model and year is your caravan? Is the roof light a clear one which can be raised, or a fixed one with an opaque dome or is it (like ours) just a sort of six inches by six inches 'vent'?
You can measure the interior frame, and that will give you the size. Our local caravan dealer has a range of types and sizes - and if there is a dealer near you then they may also keep a stock of types. Depending on type you may have to buy the whole assembly or you may just be able to buy a new dome.

I get spare parts for our caravan on EBay by putting model and year into the search nellie. Difficult while you are away but at least if you looked on there you could get the number for the part.
Hope this helps.

ValDa, we're at York at the moment but move onto a CL near Cottingham for 6 nights. We have a 2011 Bailey Unicorn Madrid, and the unit is about 32 cm square total inside the van with a 25.5 cm internal measurement. It had a clear(ish) dome and could be raised and tilted.

Would Baileys parts website help at least to get part number or dimensions, We have used them in the past always very helpful but compare prices before buying. When our oven door smashed they were cheapest by far, but other things have been more

Don't know if any of these are of use to you Nellie

There are a few examples on each and I think maybe you can get CC discount at Leisureshop.

Thanks Hugh, I've just e-mailed them to see if they will send me the relevant part number. The problem is to know how they measure the unit. The flyscreen is 280 x 280 mm but of course that is larger than the internal size of the unit, which again has a larger outside dimension than the flyscreen.

Thanks AD.
If the worst comes to the worse I could always order through the new CC's shop where there's a 10% discount on Bailey parts. All I need is the right part number.
