I've recently started playing golf again, having rejoined my old Golf Club on a five day membership.
After getting up to date with all the new terms etc, I was astonished to find that the latest handicap can give a player a massive handicap of 54
before I stopped playing eight years ago, I was playing off a 19 handicap. On returning three scorecards I have been set a handicap of 26.
Are there players that bad that they require any handicap over 36? Speaking to our Pro he sees it as a backward step, though the powers at B seem to think it will bring in more players to the game.
Does anybody here play off a handicap higher than 36?
