According to some reports the Folks and car and caravan were foreign. By the videos they were travelling at terrific speed in fast lane the wrong way.

So sad.

I feel really sorry for the driver of the Mondeo and his family, he did absolutely nothing wrong. The foreign driver and passenger in the Subaru were totally at fault, how they didn't realise they were going the wrong way for all that distance beggars belief. Very sad story..

Wonder why he didn’t just pull onto the centre reservation and stop till could be recovered. He must have realised he was going in the wrong direction and he couldn’t turn around.

Quite! The motorway was fairly busy. Even as they drove down the slip road, surely they could see they were going to meet the traffic rather than join it.

Perhaps the driver had suffered a heart attack?.. was just befuddled?.. thought he was on an ordinary but very busy 3 lane road?..we will never know.... just so unfortunate for all those that died and their families.

Apparently, the driver of the 4x4 was involved in another road traffic incident just five days previously - according to the police.
