Bailey Director Found Guilty
#1
The marketing director of Bailey Caravans Simon Howard has been found guilty by the Employment Tribunal of offensive remarks to an employee.

Very sad to see in this day and age

And here he is in a you tube post today!

Hope that Bailey make him pay the fine and then sack him for brings the firm into disrepute.

May be but the comments from a senior member of the management team is inexcusable I’m my opinion in the current workplace and in any other environment.

When I saw the title " Bailey Director Found Guilty" I immediately thought that they were admitting to the poor build quality that has dogged the company for years.-- BUT -- It seems that it's something he said to an employee.
Using his position to insult an employee should be a dismissable offence.

Agree with your last sentence, but in no way can I complain about the build quality of our Bailey, which is now in it's 10th year, and we haven't found a newer van that would meet our requirements nearly as well.

I haven’t owned a Bailey since we had a Pagent Imperial in 1998. I was a good well made Van at the time.
After that we stuck to Coachman for 17 years - Various models.
But all manufacturers have their good and poor vans. They involve a lot of manual construction and that does vary. My sister and brother in law always had Lunar’s but I thought they were flimsy.
It’s all in the eye of the beholder!
But the Bailey management failings were very poor and it will. Rightly hurt them

Without listing ALL the build quality issues of Bailey caravans. May I remind people of wheels falling off on a regular basis and water ingress Those are just two of the issues which encouraged  me to seek another make when I last changed my caravan. ----- Those with much older Bailey vans are encouraged to hang on to them for obvious reasons.
