Found this on the Elddis website. Some of you will be familiar with the destinations but thought I would share as it may be helpful for some - me included!

On the link in Riggers thread below is the link to the Romantisch Straße where I can thoroughly recommend after visiting the are many many times over 40 years without caravan at beginning and with caravan over the later years.
On my website are many recommendations for sites and places to visit in this wonderful area once visited you will never forget. I am looking at dozens of Christmas Decorations at the moment I have bought over the years from Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

I have 2 rough plans for next years if covid vaccination is successful.

The first idea is to travel up the North Sea Coast of Holland, into Germany following the North Sea Coast to Sankt Peter Ordung, then into Southern Denmark before continuing along the Baltic to Poland.

The second idea is to leave the caravan at home and travel in Germany through Switzerland (to take in a concert) then via Austria to Italy to visit/drive the Appian Way.
We would stay in pensions, might hire a cottage in Italy etc.

Of course this could all change completely

I can also highly recommend the Romantische Strasse. We did it from north to south five years ago. Took two weeks, but I can't remember the site names! One was in Dinklesbuhl and one in Wurtzburg. We included it in our three-month Eurojaunt, but it is well worth making a special trip.

If we do this trip in the future it will be just by car and B&B as we used to do on our first trips to Germany in the mid 70’s. We know of some lovely hotels and B&B’s.
