Worst Summer In Living Memory?

The temperature didn't rise above 15C all day and is dropping quite rapidly now. Roll on Winter when we might just get some of the settled weather we are more familiar with!! Yay!

Yep, goodbye summer (what summer?!) - Mr Frost arrived in Northumberland this morning!

No frost to speak of here, and we have had a dry day, for a change, with some sunshine so relatively warm at times. A cold night forecast but it is supposed to warm up somewhat next week.

Yet more rain today! arghh We did manage a walk in the dry around the Castle and along the river at Newcastle Emlyn after lunch but more rain in the late afternoon and again this evening! All that one can say about it is that it is not cold.

We have had al lovely three days quite warm and sunny. 3 nights ago had Central Heating on and electric blankets before bedtime. The garden has a lot of flowering shrubs still out and Geraniums doing well.
