Facebook Instagram and Messenger Down
#1
Reported today that the above apps owned by Facebook are down today in certain areas of the country. I don't use any of those apps. Has anybody been affected.

I use all three and they are all working not been off at all.  All three are great ways to keep in touch with friends and family all over the world.  Messenger is especially useful as equal to FaceTime for video speaking and seeing folks as well as written messages and I find it especially useful for contacting and negotiating with Sky and other companies.  Always got a copy of it to hand, no waiting long times on the phone etc.
Messenger especially useful to non Apple users as if you join FaceBook you can use it free to video chat on laptop and other makes of phones and tablets.

Never used them don't trust them to be honest. Use Whatsapp for contact with family and golfing friends.

I have never had a problem with FaceBook just have limited few friends and private settings.  Belong to A few Groups. Caravan Club, Local Village, Mildenhall and Westie.  Messenger I couldn’t do without now.  Instagram I don’t like just use it to see a couple of friends who not using FB.

I use WhatsApp 2 or 3 times a day with family and friends which you can video chat with too.  I even use it to contact Son in bedroom upstairs was very useful when he had covid late November and couldn’t see him.

My communication choices are Zoom and Skype for video family and friends chat, I use our group whatsapp for family communication. Never needed anything else.

I gave up Skype years ago when I had my first iPad as FaceTime much better. Have used Zoom in first lockdown when we had family Quizzies. Will use it again Christmas Day with Family to open our Christmas Presents together using TV as the monitor the big screen is so lifelike.

I really try to just stick to E mails. I have removed messenger from my systems as it was clear that i was being cloned - messages purporting to be from me sent to several contacts etc. I didn't know it was happening until one of my friends phoned to check because some of the languages and phrases used he knew I would not use!

So removed totally from the system
