A Confession
#1
Yes, I have to confess that after much deliberation, I travelled the 55 miles to be with my youngest daughter and family over Christmas.

I had come to the conclusion that, "life's too short" and I may not be here anyway in the near future. As I had not been anywhere for the past three weeks, I considered myself" Clean", so I prepared my Motorhome, filling my water tanks,  preparing the loo and checking that my heating was working on gas, so that I could be self sufficient parked up on my daughter and son in law's drive. During this "prep" time the government announced that Oxfordshire would be moving into tier 4 at one minute past midnight on Boxing day, so, sadly, I had to cut short my stay and come home on Christmas day so as not to turn into a pumpkin if I missed the deadline.
I don't consider myself reckless or a spreader of disease and enjoyed seeing one half of my family albeit for a short time.

Merry Christmas everyone Clap  Clap  Clap

AD you took every precaution and I would imagine you feel so much better for seeing your family. If we all just used our common sense, as you did, and we all did in assessing risks before the pandemic started I’m sure we would all be in a better place. Merry Christmas AD

I agree with Riggers no problem with what you did. Our Grandchildren and their Spouses delivered their presents to our porch and we opened the door to speak with them from afar. We have a lovely sound video of it too from the Ring Door Bell. This below is just a camera shot I took from afar on the phone. We then FaceTimed for 4 hours after they walked back to our Daughter and Son in laws for lunch and the day. Was great opening our presents together.
