Just returned from a second walk with Alfie and couldn't believe the amount of traffic on the roads
I don't see much traffic when on our early morning walk, but the number of vehicles on the road at this later time of day is unbelievable
During the first lockdown it was heaven walking the empty streets, rarely meeting anybody apart from another dog walker. But now it beggars belief, I'm forever walking in semi circles to avoid others, not just singly but in groups. Are people so unafraid and complacent regarding this pandemic that they carelessly spread the virus? Or are they just selfish
I'll say no more

I have to admit I have been out in the car today, a trip to the Chiropodist, I did not use the A11, went across country, to a village near Newmarket. Have to be very carful in that part of the world, you could soon find you have a set of horseshoes fitted. Me feet feel much better. It did feel odd being out in the car.

Unlike first lockdown most people are still working. My wife - an optical assistant - can’t work from home. You will be surprised how many people still want eye tests and/or new glasses!

Lots of vehicles out here to this afternoon and I noticed too that by far the highest percentage of car drivers were women.

London is suffering from people ignoring the knockdown rules. The NHS in London is past breaking point. I feel so sorry for the decent law abiding people in that city.

Yes I forgot more people working our son is this time around but he was on furlough before. A person in his office is away with Covid but he had no contact with him so doesn’t have to isolate. We are being extra vigilant and not getting near him.
I ordered an automatic sanitizer dispenser for the front porch, a sign to use it and a large container of sanitizer which OH has fixed so son uses that before coming in front door he then comes in goes straight to his room when I serve the supper we take ours to eat in the lounge and leave his in the kitchen and alert him by tapping on the ceiling. He doesn’t use the handrail to the stairs but I do go over it with a spray and cloth and any locks or door handles he uses. What a fun life we have ?

One of the troubles is the mixed messages we receive. One minute we are told only to drive a short distance from our homes. Then yesterday, I got an email from English Heritage telling me that although the buildings are closed, the grounds of all the properties in my region are open. Going through the list, the nearest property is ten miles away. Others on the list would require a day-trip.
