I had this email from our Member Bathonian and thought it might help anyone visiting this Campsite on Lake Garda.


Hi Dianne, Just arrived at above site in Lake Garda area. This site is quite big but pitches can be small and roadways already narrow are further restricted by cars not being able to park fully on their pitch.

In avoiding such a car I seriously grazed the side of my newish van on a tree on a tight corner turn. It is only thanks to help from some Dutch campers that we were able to open the door to get onto our van.

Could you please post a warning on both your site and possibly the chat site that anyone coming here should be VERY careful when manoeuvring their van. I would suggest that as the corners can be so tight they ask their passenger to watch from outside the car as wing mirrors are not always at the right angle to spot obstructions!

Thanks for the warning, Bardolino & Dianne - we had a similar situation at Camping Conca D'Oro on Lake Maggiore, except that the pitches are all large and the roadways narrow, some with little "hills" at the edges of pitches which can catch the underside of long outfits as they turn corners.
