Lavenham, Suffolk

This looks just like the sort of place well a visit. A few members on here should know it well. Wonder if there's a small site in the area?

Nellie we are just 24 miles from Lavenham and go very often. Lovely place to visit. Not sure of a CL nearby though I will check.

Fascinating place!

We used to go there quite often when we kept our boat in Woodbridge.

We spent a day in lavenham when we stayed at the C&CC site at Polstead - fascinating village, did a good walk from there and had a good lunch in the pub next to the church (can't remember its name now!) Wasn't the village used for some of the Harry Potter filming?

You're correct, M. I found this on Google..."Lavenham Guildhall was transformed into Harry Potter's parents' derelict house" & " Lavenham was chosen as the location for scenes in Godric's Hollow, a village that features in the book and film series as the birthplace of both Harry Potter and his wizarding headmaster, Albus Dumbledore." Also "Lavenham's Market Square was used as a location, and named, in the 1968 Vincent Price film Witchfinder General."

I think that we will have to visit the area sometime.

Good olde sunny Suffolk is steeped in history. Well worth visiting. Not far from Wildmere Farm either.

I realise that Dianne, but as you know we do like to try new sites when we can. Have spotted a couple, one near Bury and another near Colchester.
