The Camping and Caravanning Club’s European Travel Service has launched four new escorted tours for 2018, including a 32 day tour of the Baltic States.

The Baltic States escorted tour starts in Poland and continues through each of the Baltic States, before crossing the border into Russia with a visit to St Petersburg and the stunning Hermitage State Museum. The first tour departs on 27 May 2018 with a second departure scheduled for May 2019.

Its comprehensive itinerary takes in opulent palaces, including the Catherine Palace and Gardens near St Petersburg and Rundāle Palace in Latvia, known as the “Versailles of the Baltic States”. Tour participants will travel several hundred miles through forests and along open coastline and enjoy 17 excursions and 10 distinctive meals for a real flavour of local culture. Prices start from £5,095 (unit and two people).

Richard Grimsdale, Travel Services Director at The Camping and Caravanning Club, said: “Interest in the four new destinations featured in our 2018/19 brochure has been very strong, and this year’s tour programme truly has something for everyone.

“The Baltic States are a fabulous destination and a good fit for Club members who we know are growing more adventurous and open to exploring new and emerging areas with stunning history and culture, even if they aren’t traditionally associated with camping holidays.”

Other new tours this year include Northern Spain – Coast to Coast, Germany – Rhine and Moselle Valleys and The Highlights of Portugal. Each tour accommodates up to 23 units and runs during late summer. They join 17 others in the 2018/19 European Escorted Tours brochure, spanning 15 of Europe’s top destinations.

For those in search of scenery and greenery, the Club’s new 26 day tour of Northern Spain is perfect. Starting with four nights at a campsite near to Barcelona and the laid back seaside town of Sitges, the tour travels on through Navarra, The Basque Country and Galicia for a real taste of ‘Green Spain’. Prices start from £3,405 (unit and two people) and include 11 excursions and 15 meals.
